Fantastic view of soho looking out the kitchen window at work. Enjoyed another sunny day in New York (2 in a row withought that awful continous mist that’s a pitiful excuse for rain).
Was on scene at the client photo shoot yesterday. I ended up being one of the trampoline models…most fun I’ve ever had at work!
Say hello to my new studio apartment :)
After gathering ridiculous amounts of information (tax returns, credit and background checks, letters of employment, letters of recommendation, bank account numbers and statements, a letter from my family’s CPA, etc.) and proving that my guarantor makes the required 87 times (!!!) the rent in annual income, this baby is finally mine for the taking.
Stainless steal appliances, granite counter tops, wood floors, exposed brick wall, right around the corner from work, and located right in soho…fantastic!
Now all I’ve got to do is wait for my dad to sign and FedEx the lease, and I hope to be in by the weekend.

Survived my first day of work in NYC!
It’s been exactly a week since I interviewed with Wolff Olins over Skype, and here I am, starting my first day in the big city. Moving to New York with only a few days notice is probably the ballsiest thing I’ve ever done, but I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to work with such talented people. This doesn’t feel like my life. It happened so fast, and it feels completely surreal.
Now all I need to do if find a place to live…update coming soon.
A photo my grandpa took of my grandmother - I’m guessing sometime during the 40s.
I love it, she looks so glam. Miss her a lot sometimes, quite a lady.

My horse got his seasonal hair cut…which is quite an undertaking. Kind of like shaving someone’s head with clippers, but multiplying the surface area by about 150.
Handsome boy he is.

Diabetes is well on its way to becoming normalized in the West - recognized as a whole new demographic and so a major marketing opportunity. Apparently it is easier, or at least a lot more profitable, to change a disease of civilization into a lifestyle than it is to change the way civilization eats. — Michael Pollan, In Defense of Food

Flying back from NYC tonight - did some advertising networking, wined and dined, saw some CMJ gigs, and spent time with a much missed guy.
After nearly partying myself to death Friday night, I’m calling it a week…neeeeeed rest now.
Living in a glass shoebox on the 17th floor for the weekend. City views tonight will be stunning!
